Weddings: DIY Bride's Chair

We started with a simple office chair, but any would do. The chair we covered was gray, so we ended up doubling the non-woven wrap so the colour wouldn’t peek through.

Supplies:

• 3” organza ribbon
• Non-Woven white gift wrap
• 52” tulle
• Glue gun

Instructions:

1. Start at the top and work your way down:

-The back of the chair was draped in two layers of non-woven wrap.

-The wrap covered to the sides of the chair, which are metal, then the wrap was folded like you would a present.

-The finished edges were glued to the metal of the chair – it will stick as long as needed, but will be easy to remove and not leave residue.

2. Next is the seat:

-       Use one long piece of the non-woven wrap, laying it across the seat.

-       The wrap was again tacked with glue at the metal frame of the chair.

3. To cover the seat’s length, two layers of the non-woven wrap were used:

-The wrap was draped from the floor at the chair’s front to the floor at the chair’s back.

-Again, the wrap was tacked with the glue gun.

4. Now for the tulle!

-Using Creative’s 52” wide white tulle, the chair was  wrapped twice.

-The tulle was wide enough that it fit around the chair, softening its square lines.

5. Next, a bow was tied, using the 3” organza ribbon in white to secure the tulle to the chair.
6. Now the pew bow.

-This bow was made using four large loops of tulle with long tails,  tied together with some white organza ribbon.

-The bow was then tied to the ribbon going around the chair.

-Any loose loops were tacked to the now-covered chair with glue gun.

-Finally, a cute little bow was made from the 3” organza ribbon and glued in the center of the pew bow.

And there you have it – a beautifully decorated chair, well-suited to a guest book signing table, or for signing a registry.

Creative Packaging Wedding Favor Give away OFFICIAL Rules

ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to legal residents of Canada that are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply.

HOW TO ENTER: Participants may enter the draw by posting a wedding date on Creative Packaging’s company Facebook  or twitter page.  Entry information will be used solely for contacting winners for this particular give away.  Enter as often as you like.   To be eligible for the drawing, all entries must be received by 11:59 P.M. (PST) on June 30, 2013.

PRIZES: One (1) winner will be selected to receive a grand prize consisting of no more than 250 pieces of decorative favor packaging for their wedding.  The packaging is for the purpose of presenting a wedding favor gift to guests.  The retail value of this prize is approximately $1000. All favor packaging chosen may not exceed this amount.  An example of favor packaging is a gift bag, a box, a tissue treatment, a ribbon, and gift tag. This is provided the choice of product remains under $1000 in retail value.  There is NO alternative prize or other substitution is permitted. There is no cash value for the prize. The prize is non-transferable. All federal, provincial and/or local taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Winner is also responsible for internet access fees and service charges.

SELECTION OF WINNER: The winner will be determined by random drawing of all eligible entries received by June 30, 2013. The drawing will be conducted by Creative Packaging on July 1, 2013 at 100-1580 Brigantine dr.  The odds of winning a prize are based on the number of eligible entries received. The selected entrant will be notified by facebook or twitter by July 2, 2013.  The items may be shipped within Canada, but the costs of shipping are at the responsibility of the winner, and not the responsibility of Creative Packaging.  To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time. The selected entrant will have 15 days from notification to accept the prize by replying to a notification.   Creative Packaging is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify the winner. All taxes on prizes, including income taxes, and any incidental expenses associated with collection of a prize are the responsibility of the winner. The winner assumes all liability for any damages caused or claimed to be caused by participation or by any prize and releases Creative Packaging from any such liability. If the selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize, or fails to timely return the completed and executed declaration and releases as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternative winner selected. By accepting the prize the winner agrees to the use of the winner’s name, voice or likeness for the purpose of trade, advertising, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Conduct of Sweepstakes and selection of the winner are in Creative Packaging sole discretion, and Creative’s decisions are final and binding. Employees of Creative, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, or postage-due entries; (ii) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Creatives  that may cause the  Give away  to be disrupted or corrupted; (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Give a way;  (iv) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Give away  By participating, each entrant agrees to release and hold  Creative and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of Creative Packaging, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors, harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the give away  or resulting from entrant's participation, acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
